Get Involved
Blessing boxes run on community care. Whether you have five minutes or five dollars, there's something meaningful you can do right now.
Wherever you are right now
No cost, no commitment, no plans needed. Open the map, find a box nearby, and log whether it's stocked. A 30-second update helps everyone in your area make better decisions before they drive somewhere.
Next time you're at the store
Add a few extra cans of soup or a jar of peanut butter to your cart. Drop them off at a box near the store. Log the visit so others know it's freshly stocked.
94 boxes still need a photo
When someone searches for a box, they want to know what it looks like before they get there. A clear shot showing the box and its surroundings makes a lasting difference.
358 boxes haven't been seen in a while
Whether a box is full, empty, or no longer there — we need to know. Even a quick "it's still here" update keeps the map accurate for everyone who uses it.

Tips: what to buy and how to do it efficiently
Good items to donate
- Canned goods: soups, vegetables, beans, fruit
- Shelf-stable protein: peanut butter, canned tuna or chicken
- Grains: pasta, rice, oatmeal (in sealed packaging)
- Snacks: granola bars, crackers, dried fruit
- Hygiene: soap, toothbrush and toothpaste, shampoo — travel or dollar-store sizes fit well
Shopping efficiently
- Dollar stores (Dollar Tree, Dollar General) are great for canned goods and hygiene items
- Grocery store sale sections and BOGO deals stretch your budget
- Costco or Sam's Club bulk purchases of peanut butter, pasta, or rice are very cost-effective — split a run with a neighbor
- Individually packaged items stay fresh longest and are easiest to distribute
